About Us
Elk Mountain Landworks and Summer Rain Irrigation are an Aspen-based landscape construction, irrigation, and planting company serving the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding mountain communities.
We create and maintain outdoor spaces built for mountain conditions, with careful planning, skilled execution, and respect for the land and water systems that shape each property. Our work is designed to function well, hold up over time, and feel natural to its surroundings.
Through Elk Mountain Landworks and Summer Rain Irrigation, we offer landscape construction, planting, and irrigation services that work together seamlessly. This allows us to manage projects more cohesively while bringing focused expertise to each area of work.
Led by Local Experience
Zac Paris, owner of Elk Mountain Landworks, was born and raised in Snowmass Village and has worked in the Roaring Fork Valley landscaping industry for over 20 years. His experience spans landscape construction, planting, stonework, and irrigation, with a strong understanding of how mountain properties function and evolve over time.
He cares deeply about creating beautiful landscapes that honor the local environment and feel naturally connected to their surroundings. Zac is QWEL certified to the City of Aspen’s current standard for water-efficient landscaping and is also permaculture certified, reflecting a practical and thoughtful approach to landscapes built for this region.
Elk Mountain Landworks is a landscape construction and property development, including grading, hardscape installation, site preparation, planting, and integrated outdoor systems.
Planting and garden services formerly known as Notable Plantings are now part of Elk Mountain Landworks.
Summer Rain Irrigation is our division that specializes in design, installation, and maintenance of irrigation systems built for efficiency, durability, and mountain climates.
Our Team
Our team brings hands-on experience across a wide range of Colorado projects, from full property builds to targeted improvements and ongoing landscape support. We work closely with clients to ensure each project is well suited to the site, the property, and the way it will be used.
Media
Elk Mountain Landworks owner Zac and plant specialist Judy were featured on HGTV’s Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House. Their work reflects the same practical, mountain-appropriate approach that defines our landscape, irrigation, and planting projects throughout Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley.
Today, Elk Mountain Landworks supports residential and small commercial projects that value quality work, practical design, and long-term care.
